MacES Meeting at Friday
This Friday evening this months [MacES](http://www.maces.de) meeting will take place in Esslingen-Zell.
Macintosh users and interested people are invited to come.
Interesting discussions and the exchange of experiences, opinions and information all around the Macintosh and the iPhone are the topics of the meeting.
More information about MacES can be found on the [MacES website](http://www.maces.de).
Regular Expressions for NSString
Last weekend I was looking for different options to validate NSString objects against some regular expressions.
While there are some 3rd party classes for doing regular expressions in Cocoa and wrappers for Perl/PCRE there is a way to do that without external software. The magic word is called [NSPredicate](http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Reference/Foundation/Classes/NSPredicate_Class/Reference/NSPredicate.html).
This approach may perhaps not be obvious because there is (at this time) no direct documentation or hint in the [ADC documentation](http://developer.apple.com).
C Tutorial "Masters of the Void" Completed
If you are looking for a good C tutorial you should definitely have a look at [Uli Kusterer](http://www.zathras.de/angelweb/home.htm)s '[Masters of the Void](http://www.zathras.de/angelweb/masters-of-the-void.htm)'.
Testing New Earphones
In the meantime my new [super.fi 5 Pro](http://www.ultimateears.com/superfi/superfi-5-Pro-black.htm) earphones arrived. Yeeha.
Although I ordered them during the holiday time (December 28th) the delivery was very fast (January 2nd).
After playing around with them for almost two weeks now I want to let you know what I'm thinking about them.
