Funny Hotline
Recently I called a hotline of a not-so-small software company because I had a question regarding an order I placed a few days ago.
As expected a nice computer voice read out a endless list of possibilities from which I had to choose from.
Phone: ... Press '5' if you have a question about your order.
Simon: 5
Phone: If you already have a customer number, press '1',
if not press '2'.
Simon: 1
Phone: Please enter your customer number.
Simon: 7 - 4 - 2 - 7 - 3 -
Phone: Your customer number could not be recognized. Please try again.
Simon: Ok, 7-4-2-7-3-5-
Phone: Your customer number could not be recognized. Please try again.
Simon: Come on! 74273593
Phone: Thank you. You will be connected to the next free employee...
Simon: There you go!
Phone: Hello, this is Chris Whoever, how can I help you?
Simon: Hello, I ordered your product a few days ago and I just
wanted to know when it will be shipped.
Phone: Ok, no problem. Do you have a customer number?
Hmm, no comment.
